The Pioneer DJ DDJ-SR2 is a compact controller that comes with Serato DJ software. It has been upgraded from the original SR to include extra features, coloured buttons, power adapter, and XLR jacks. The DDJ-SR2 delivers excellent sound quality and has ample power for large gigs. The input options on the back and the 3 sound effects knobs on each deck are plus points in its favour. While it is great for beginners and intermediate DJs, some may find that the right side cue and play buttons are too close to each other and can be accidentally pressed. The package doesn't include Serato DJ pro software, which some feel should be included. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a professional board at an affordable price point, the DDJ-SR2 is a great mid-price range option.
